Middleton Jazz Band

Middleton Jazz was started in 2009 as a semi-monthly jam session at the Middleton Senior Center. As players became more familiar with one another and with the music, the jam developed into a weekly jazz band rehearsal. Middleton Jazz plays traditional jazz tunes, mostly in the ‘Dixieland’ style, with an emphasis on improvised solos. With seven horns and a full rhythm section, they play everything from blues to big band arrangements.
