The Oregon Area Senior Center is a multi-purpose center focusing on the needs of older adults within the Oregon School District. It is a department of the Village of Oregon with support from the Village, Town of Oregon, Town of Rutland, and Dane County. The Town of Dunn and the Village of Brooklyn also support us. The Oregon Area Senior Center relies on the donations of generous folks in our area as well as the annual fundraisers for our programming needs.

Intro to Superfoods
In this class, you’ll enjoy a tasty and refreshing sample and introduction to Superfoods. Superfoods are both a food and a medicine. They are a class of the most potent, super-concentrated, and nutrient-rich foods on the planet. They are known to improve the severity and symptoms of nearly every major disease or condition known, including chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, ADD, allergies, arthritis, and skin disorders. Put a Little Life in Your Obituary
How will you be remembered? Every life story deserves a polished telling, but that seldom happens in the stressful time following a death. With a little help, you can write a lively, accurate picture of your life suitable for publication when the time comes. Make the task enjoyable by working on it in a group. In this two-session workshop we'll explore the revival of interest in obituaries in America, then write and share obituaries for ourselves or loved ones, minus only the final details of life's end. Let's take time to honor our lives and enjoy the process of recalling them! Wednesday April 11th AND April 18th from 2:30—4:00 PM Fee: $30INSTRUCTOR: Sarah White, author, personal historian, and writing coach, has been teaching reminiscence writing workshops since 2004. Rosettes & Krumkaka
Ever wonder how they made that? Come learn how to make these wonderful Norwegian desserts for any occasion on Saturday, March 10th from 9:00 AM to Noon. All ingredients and recipes supplied. You may wish to bring your own apron as well as your own irons and/or tins or just use those provided. Each person will have the chance to make both kinds of cookies and take a dozen of each home to share. Cost is $20 per person. Then you can say ”I made it myself!”. Taught by instructor Gudie Huston who has 35 years of experience making these yummy desserts at home & at the St. John’s yearly Smorgasboard for your enjoyment!
Organic Gardening for Beginners

Rubber Stamping/Card Making Workshop
On Wednesday, February 8th from 9:00—11:00 AM you can create six handmade greeting cards to send to friends and loved ones. Instructor Katie Johnson will come with three different card samples and you will make two of each design. All materials will be provided including envelopes and adhesive. Everyone is invited—there is no experience necessary. This class is great for unleashing your creativity, learning a new skill, meeting new people, and socializing while you create! You must pre-register for this workshop by Monday, February 7th by calling Erica at 835-5801. Cost for the workshop is $10.00 per person (that’s only about $1.65 per card.
