It is a department of the Village of Oregon with support from the Village, Town of Oregon, Town of Rutland, and Dane County. The Town of Dunn and the Village of Brooklyn also support us. DRIVER SAFETY CLASS presented by AARP
The AARP Driver Safety Class will be offered at the Oregon Area Senior Center on Saturday, April 9, from 8:00 AM—Noon. You can expect to learn current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment. You'll learn adjustments to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time. Following the course, those who are interested may have their car and themselves checked to see if the fit is the best it can be. This program is called "CARFIT". Donna Wilfong is the instructor. The classroom course costs only $12.00 for AARP members and $14.00 for non-members. There is no cost for CARFIT. Contact Erica at the Oregon Area Senior Center at 835-5801 to make your reservation, or for more information, by March 30th.

Wii Tournament with Oregon Youth Center
Don’t you ever miss playing a lively game of Frisbee? How about Dodgeball—wasn’t that fun?
With the Wii, we can now enjoy those sports that otherwise maybe….well...dangerous to play if we are over the age of 12. Many of you have tried the simulated version of bowling with the Wii and can probably agree that it’s very close to the real thing. We are looking for about 6—10 “GOOD SPORTS” who would be interested in learning Frisbee and Dodgeball from the adolescents at the Oregon Youth Center. The kids are excited to show you their knowledge and skill on the Wii—and want you to join in on the fun! It’s simple to learn and fun to play. Call Erica at 835-5801 to join in on this intergenerational activity on Wednesday, March 30th at 2:00 PM at the Senior Center.
